Policy based control for secure messaging
A key element of the SigabaNet architecture platform is the Sigaba Gateway.

• The Gateway is the policy enforcement engine that allows administrators to set rules and define resulting actions.
• The Gateway takes the decision to secure communications out of the hands of individuals, ensuring that sensitive messages are always sent securely.
• The Gateway enables administrators to establish and enforce a comprehensive set of configurable policies to determine which messages are encrypted, archived or flagged for further review.
• Positioned between the email server and the firewall, the Gateway handles encryption and decryption.

The Sigaba Gateway offers critical security functionality including:

• Virus scanning
• Content filtering
• Quarantining
• Archiving

The Gateway works with all major email systems and integrates with other technologies including PKI and S/MIME, leveraging existing data security investments. The Gateway also is compatible with Sigaba Plug-Ins, allowing encryption and decryption to happen at the desktop. Its flexibility allows one to choose the best point for encryption, by user and/or by message content.
