Sigaba Plug-Ins enable message security to be extended to the desktop on an as-needed basis. Sigaba Plug-Ins provide the desktop-level security that’s critical for sensitive communications within your organization – such as those among top executives, legal staff and human resources personnel – as well as communications with individuals in organizations that do not have a Sigaba Gateway, such as important suppliers or customers.

Digital Signing
Sigaba Plug-Ins support digital signing, both S/MIME and a revolutionary non-S/MIME capability not available from other email security providers. Sigaba Plug-Ins also support two offline read options, one using S/MIME (software required) and the other using Sigaba encryption.

Highest Flexibility
Among PKI users, Sigaba Plug-Ins allow users to communicate with others who have email supporting S/MIME and those who don’t. One Plug-In handles both types of communication. And IT administrators can still maintain corporate encryption policies by placing the desktop control policy at a lower priority than corporate policies.

E-mail Client Agnostic
Plug-Ins are available for popular email clients, including Outlook and Lotus Notes, and performs authentication of the recipient using the Sigaba Authentication Service integrated with the organization’s existing mechanisms. Once authenticated, the email is decrypted in the inbox and the recipient can then read the document.

HOW IT WORKS

After registering, users download a small software plug-in that quickly installs into their existing email client. To send a message securely, users simply click the "Send Secure" button that the Sigaba Plug-In adds to the email interface, and the message is encrypted on the fly. Incoming messages are decrypted automatically.
